SCHNEIDERLIN HAILS MARTIAL... BUT FRUSTRATED WITH DRAW

The midfielder spoke to BT Sport after his side's 0-0 draw in Moscow, hailing his striker team-mate: “He did change the dynamic of the game. He didn’t let his head go down because it could happen to anyone, the penalty, and then he scored a great goal. After that we pushed on and we gave everything. But we couldn’t score the second goal, which is a shame.

“We wanted to win but the most important thing was that we didn’t go away with zero points. So we needed to get what we can, and that’s one point. We had possession of the ball, so sometimes on the counter you see teams who have a lot of the ball but they concede on the counter-attack so we needed to be aware after the equaliser that they didn’t score a second one.

“A bit of mixed feeling because we wanted to take the three points. But in the Champions League it is a marathon, it is not just about one game so we have got to make sure we go through to the next round.”

 JOE HART REACTS

The goalkeeper spoke alongside De Bruyne, adding: "Sevilla have definitely earned themselves a place in this competition, they've won a lot of trophies over the last couple of years and they made it very difficult for us tonight.

"They'd have been more happy with a draw than we would but we knew we'd get chances and Kevin with a fantastic finish has won us the game."

 DE BRUYNE REACTS TO VICTORY

Kevin De Bruyne became a Manchester City hero tonight, and spoke to BT Sport after the game.

"Even though we didn't have our best game, in the end we tried everything to look for the victory and thankfully in the end we could score," he said.

"When we get a draw it isn't that bad but we have the team to attack and I think even Sevilla are very good in possession so we just have to try to get the three points. Obviously that's in a couple of weeks."

 GOAL! MANCHESTER CITY 2-1 SEVILLA

Oh my days, they've only gone and won it! Yaya Toure has acres of space in midfield and finds Kevin De Bruyne with a measured pass. The Belgian shimmies, beats a defender and sends his effort into the bottom corner. That is an absolutely massive goal.

UNITED AND CITY SEARCHING FOR WINNERS...

Who can grab the momentum ahead of the Manchester derby?! Both United and City remain level at 1-1, with CSKA Moscow and Sevilla respectively. There's still time to find a winner... Or for either to lose!

 ATLETICO MADRID 3-0 ASTANA

Diego Godin wants a penalty, as he's pulled to the ground in the area at a corner, but the referee is unmoved and gives nothing, much to the fury of the central defender.

 PSG 0-0 REAL MADRID

Cristiano Ronaldo should score! The ball breaks for the Portuguese in the box and he fires a half-volley at goal, only to see his effort sail wide of the post. That's a terrible miss for a player of Ronaldo's quality.

 CSKA MOSCOW 1-0 MANCHESTER UNITED

Our man Kris Voakes checks in: "Half-time at the Arena Khimki and while Manchester United had the larger helping of possession in the opening 45 minutes there can be little doubt that CSKA Moscow deserve their 1-0 lead at the break.

"Seydou Doumbia's goal from David de Gea's penalty save is the difference between the two sides at the moment, but Louis van Gaal might well look to make changes at the break to help his side get a better foothold in the final third in the second half."

 PEEP PEEP!

Half-time is upon us, everyone, and that brings to a close an utterly breathless 45 minutes. We've had nine goals in eight games thus far and perhaps the story of the night is Manchester United's struggles in Russia.

City have pulled a goal back to draw level with Sevilla, while Real Madrid and PSG are still goalless in Paris.

 MANCHESTER CITY 1-1 SEVILLA

Sam Lee gives us the lowdown: "That is a huge roar! City are level thanks to an Adil Rami own goal - Wilfried Bony's effort was way off target - and it's 1-1 at the Etihad. You don't get roars like that for any old goal; this is hugely important and it sets up the game brilliantly.

"Watch out for Yaya Toure on the replays, too, he stormed through the Sevilla ranks in the build-up, and created the chance from down on the right-hand side moments later. Back to his best!"

 GOAL! MANCHESTER CITY 1-1 SEVILLA

The Premier League leaders are level! Yaya Toure bursts past two Sevilla defenders and crosses for Raheem Sterling. His effort is saved and Wilfried Bony attempts to poke in, only for Adil Rami to deflect it past his own goalkeeper. That looks an own goal, unfortunately for the Ivorian's scoring statistics.

Fellaini Signs New Deal

Arsenal Boss Eyes Summer Clear-outs

The midfield trios' contracts are set to expire at the end of the season and it is understood the Gunners are planning for life without them, claim the  London Evening Standard . All three midfielders have been bit-part players this season with Arsene Wenger believed to be having concerns over their fitness and consistency to perform at a high level.  Rosicky, who turnt 35 last month, is expected to be sidelined until after Christmas following knee surgery and has failed to play a single minute of first-team football.  The Czech was set to leave the Gunners last summer but Arsenal invoked a clause in his previous contract to keep him at the Emirates for a further 12 months.  By leaving Arsenal, this will allow Rosicky to finish his career with his first club Sparta Prague - which he is open to.  The same can be said for Flamini as there are those who believe his best days are behind him too, with the poor performance in the Capital One Cup exit...

Mourinho Punishment Too Much - Pulis

Mourinho And Pulis West Bromwich Albion head coach Tony Pulis has questioned who will benefit from the £50,000 fine that has been handed to Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho. After his seven-minute outburst in the aftermath of his side's 3-1 defeat to Southampton, Mourinho has been fined the five-figure sum by the Football Association, as well as been given a suspended one-match stadium ban. However, Pulis has described the amount as "extraordinary", and called for greater transparency regarding where the money will be used. The 57-year-old told reporters: "I think we need to have a meeting to find out what is going on or isn't going on. A fine of £50,000 is an extraordinary amount of money. I have been fined a few times by the FA for stepping out of line, but my argument is where does that money go? "Does it go to charity? Does it go to the hundreds and hundreds of people who will jump on the back of the Eurostar? Where does that m...
