Eden Hazards Chelsea troubles gather pace as Real Madrid links intensify [Papers]

One of the big pre-match talking points is centred on Eden Hazard, after the Belgium was surprisingly left out of Chelsea’s side in the 2-0 win over Aston Villa last weekend.

Jose Mourinho has since explained that Hazard was dropped for defensive work-rate reasons, and in the build-up to the Kiev challenge, the Special One has reiterated that he needs more production from one of his star playmakers.
The whole saga is a major downturn for Hazard, whom Jose Mourinho not so long ago compared to the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo.
The splashes of a handful of Tuesday’s papers carry warnings for Hazard, who is told he need to shape up to lock down a first team place with the Blues.
While Hazard continues to receive negative headlines, the Mirror also reference the 24-year-old’s activity on Instagram on Monday, as the Belgium ‘liked’ a post linking him with Real Madrid.
