Carzola Names Three Best Players In Game Versus United

Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has stated that they had to be at their best to beat Manchester United on Sunday, because of all the great players they have in their side, per the club’s official website.

Alexis Sanchez’s brace and another from Mesut Ozil took the game awzy from United in a 3-0 win at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners were expected to struggle, with heavy pressure after the Champions League defeat to Olympiacos in midweek and their visitors’ form going into the game.

The Red Devils topped the table after a 3-0 victory over Sunderland last week, and looked as though they would take the game to Arsenal. Instead, they were shellshocked from the pace of the Gunners’ start and never recovered.

Cazorla says they needed to believe in themselves and get on the front foot, with such talent at Louis van Gaal’s disposal.
“We needed to believe after the loss against Olympiacos. We needed to change the mentality and the team was very compact and focused for the game against a big team,” Cazorla told the official Arsenal website.

“This is the most important thing for the team. It was very important for us. Together we played very well. Three points is very important for us and we need to keep at the same level in the next game.
“We need to play together and in the first half we did very well and this is vital for us. United have very good players with [Michael] Carrick, [Juan] Mata and [Wayne] Rooney.”

Arsenal were just three points off United before the game, meaning the result blows the title race wide open once again. After two straight defeats, Manchester City also got back on track with a comprehensive 6-1 victory over a hapless Newcastle side thanks to five goals from star striker Sergio Aguero.
Arsenal face a tough trip to Watford in a fortnight’s time, after the international break.

Vardy: It Was Easy To Reject Arenal Move

Jamie Vardy says it was easy for him to reject a move to Arsenal, insisting both his head and his heart told him to stay at Leicester City. After playing a crucial role in last season's surprising Premier League title win, the England international was the subject of a bid from the Gunners which triggered his £22 million release clause. Instead, the striker opted to remain at the King Power Stadium and signed a new deal with the Foxes. And Vardy, 29, says it was an easy decision to make. “I was in a hotel room [in Chantilly] for so many hours of every day with nothing to do. You had a lot of time on your hands," he told The Guardian . “I am not going to beat around the bush – every time I thought about it, and every aspect of it I thought about, both my head and my heart were saying to stay at Leicester, which is why I made my decision to stay. “There were loads of reasons. You get that much time to think about, every single thing down to the tea lady. You think about w...
