Official: Arsenal Signs Nigerian Wing Wizard

The youngster has committed to the Gunners his future, as he eyes breaking into Arsene Wenger's first team

Arsenal have confirmed that forward Alex Iwobi has signed a new long-term contract with the club.
The 19-year-old, a graduate of the Arsenal Academy is a spine of the Gunners’ U21 team where he got nine goals in nine matches last season and this term boasts of two goals from five appearances.
He got his first senior goal for the senior side against Lyon in the Emirates Cup after impressing during the team’s tour to Singapore.
“Iwobi has signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal,” read a statement on the club’s website.
“Everyone at Arsenal would like to congratulate Alex on his new contract and we look forward to his continued progression in the season ahead.”
The forward would be hoping to make his international debut when Nigeria face DR Congo at the Stade de la Cite de l'Oie on Thursday.
