The former Newcastle and France star is awake after being taken to a specialist cardiovascular unit in Monaco following the accident which took place after playing football

Former France international David Ginola has collapsed after playing football on Thursday afternoon, with the reasons unconfirmed.
According to Goal sources, the ex-Newcastle and Tottenham winger is recovering at the Centre Cardio Thoracique of Monaco, a specialist cardiovascular unit in Monte-Carlo.
Ginola, 49, is awake but there is currently no update on his health status.
He enjoyed a seven-year spell in the Premier League following his move from Paris Saint-Germain in 1995.
Ginola won 17 caps for his country and lifted the League Cup with Spurs in 1999.
