Manchester United's game against Bournemouth has been rescheduled for 8pm on Tuesday 17 May following the abandonment of Sunday's game at Old Trafford.
The teams' final match of the season was called off following the discovery of a suspect package at the Theatre of Dreams. It was later made safe in a controlled explosion, with the police saying it had not been a viable device, but had been "incredibly lifelike".
Hours after the evacuation Manchester United announced the rescheduling: "We can confirm that today's abandoned fixture between Manchester United and AFC Bournemouth will be played on Tuesday 17 May at 8:00pm.
"We would like to thank Manchester United's staff, the police and other emergency services for all their efforts today as well as rearranging the match for this coming Tuesday.
"Both Manchester United and AFC Bournemouth's management has been extremely helpful in reaching a swift resolution, which is the best possible given today's events
"The clubs will make their own announcements regarding ticketing arrangements."
There would have been various considerations and complications to consider when seeking a new date, while the Premier League admitted it would be a logistical nightmare. Manchester United play next Saturday in the FA Cup final at Wembley while some Bournemouth players are due to meet up with their international squads ahead of the European Championships.
Heading into the match Manchester United were bidding to beat Manchester City to fourth place. They needed to beat Bournemouth and hope that City lost to Swansea, however their rivals drew with the Welsh club meaning qualification for Europe's elite competition can only be achieved if they beat Bournemouth by 19 goals
