Zlatan Ibrahimovic Future Lies In Wife's Hands

Revealed: The decision-maker behind Zlatan's next move
The Swedish superstar’s wife is set to have a major say on where the 34-year-old striker ends up next season and the likelihood of it being at Old Trafford isn’t much.

The posibility of Zlatan Ibrahimovic joining Manchester United after departing Paris Saint-Germain at the end of his contract in the summer are shrinking - with the striker's wife ready to block a move to the Premier League side.

Helena Seger, a former high-powered business woman in Sweden, may not have the deciding say in the 34-year-old's future but she holds significant sway and does not want to move to Manchester.

Seger would like to live in a major city, and most notably one in the United States, as her new A-Z sportswear brand prepares for launch on June 7.

It has also been reported that Ibrahimovic has a concrete proposal from the MLS worth £400,000 per week – the same figure that he earns in Paris.

However, the Swedish pair will not move to just any American location as Los Angeles and New York remain the preferred locations for Ibrahimovic’s wife, pending the creation of a franchise in Miami. It is notable that during Paris Football Week, which was held last week, there was a recruiter from LA Galaxy in the French capital.

It is also understands that Ibrahimovic has been in the US on business in the past month, though further details about his next destination remain unknown.

As a result, the likelihood is that Ibrahimovic will move across the Atlantic. Another European location should not be totally ruled out, however, but the 34-year-old would need the lure of Champions League football – something not on offer at Manchester United.

Ibrahimovic would like to have tied up his future before the start of Euro 2016 but that now looks unlikely, so the forward and his wife will need to be patient over his next challenge.

Klopp An Unlucky Man In Cup Finals

Jurgen Klopp said he has never been on the lucky side of a wrong decision in a final after his Liverpool team lost 3-1 to Sevilla in the Europa League final on Wednesday. In his post-match news conference, Klopp was asked by a German reporter for his thoughts on Andujar Coke's second goal after the referee overruled his linesman on an offside call. Replays later showed that the ball had clearly come off Philippe Coutinho into the attacker's path but Klopp said it was the first time had ever seen a referee overrule his linesman. "I've had a lot of games as a coach but it is not that often that a referee overrules the linesman," the German said. "But right after the match someone said it was the right decision because Coutinho has played the pass." Klopp said he felt like he never had luck in finals, having seen at least two penalty appeals waved away in the first half. "You speak German so I guess you've seen some finals...
