While Manchester United's struggles in front of goal continued against CSKA Moscow, one of their former players continued his prolific run in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Javier Hernandez, sold by Louis van Gaal in the summer, was in action for Bayer Leverkusen against Roma, and while the German side suffered an agonising 3-2 defeat, Chicharito's hot streak continued.
United have managed just one goal in their last four games in all competitions, but Hernandez alone has scored seven times in five consecutive appearances.
The Mexico international has scored more goals than each of United's attacking players so far this season.
Hernandez's rich vein of form in the Champions League this season represents a change in fortunes from his time at Old Trafford. The 27-year-old has scored four goals in the competition so far for Leverkusen - as many as he managed during his entire United career and whilst at Real Madrid.
